When creating or editing a site on Postach.io you have the option to set a custom domain. This is for those who want to access their site at something like ‘example.com' instead of example.postach.io.

Using a top-level domain, such as example.com requires that you set the "A" record in your DNS to our IP address. The IP address is:

54.227.242.252

If you're unsure how to set an A record, contact your domain registrar.

Here’s an example of a correct DNS set up:

Once you’ve set up your DNS, then go to Postach.io, log in, and click Edit Site (the pencil icon), and then set the “Custom Domain" name field to your new custom domain.

Using a subdomain, such as blog.example.com, requires that you use a CNAME record in your DNS instead of an A record. Set your subdomains CNAME to:

domains.postach.io

If you're unsure how to set a CNAME record, contact your domain registrar.

Once you’ve set up your DNS, then go to Postach.io, log in, and click Edit Site (the pencil icon), and then set the “Custom Domain" name field to your new custom sub-domain.
