Elon Musk Comes Out Against 'Fascist' Stay-at-Home Orders Due to Coronavirus Pandemic
Tesla CEO Elon Musk has had enough of the "fascist" takeover urged by governments throughout the world over the coronavirus pandemic and wants the global economy to be turned back on.
"We are a bit worried about not being able to resume production in the Bay Area, and that should be identified as a serious risk," Musk said.
Although Musk acknowledges the public health crisis related to the coronavirus pandemic, he believes that the normalization of the quarantine and shutdown orders sets an incredibly Orwellian precedent.

"The expansion of shelter-in-place, or as we call it, forcibly imprisoning people in their homes, against all their constitutional rights, is, in my opinion, breaking people’s freedoms in ways that are horrible and wrong, and not why people came to America and built this country," Musk said. "What the fuck!"

"If somebody wants to stay in the house that’s great," Musk continued. "They should be allowed to stay in the house and they should not be compelled to leave. But to say that they cannot leave their house and they will be arrested if they do… this is fascist. This is not democratic. This is not freedom. Give people back their goddamn freedom."

Musk has made it clear that large firms such as his own would be able to survive the pandemic, but smaller businesses would be wiped out. This is the disaster situation that he wants to prevent by ending the shutdown.
"Everything people have worked for all their lives is being destroyed in real time," he said of the state edicts to shutter "non-essential" businesses. "I think the people are going to be very angry about this and are very angry."
Big League Politics has reported on how coronavirus hysteria has caused the worst economic disaster since the Great Depression:
The International Monetary Fund (IMF) predicted on Tuesday that the coronavirus pandemic will result in the worst recession since the Great Depression, even surpassing the economic turmoil of the late 2000s. They expect a contraction of the world economy by 3 percent whereas the economy only contracted 0.7 percent in 2009.
"The Great Lockdown, as one might call it, is projected to shrink global growth dramatically," said IMF economic counselor Gita Gopinath in the fund’s 2020 World Economic Outlook. "Much worse growth outcomes are possible and maybe even likely."
If the virus subsides over the second half of the year, the IMF expects economic growth to pick back up. They anticipate 5.8 percent growth in 2021 as a projected recovery takes hold aided by stimulus funds and money printing. This is only speculation, as certain experts predict that the coronavirus shut down could last many months. The IMF notes the "extreme uncertainty" of the situation while making their predictions.
"Many countries face a multi-layered crisis comprising a health shock, domestic economic disruptions, plummeting external demand, capital flow reversals, and a collapse in commodity prices," the fund’s outlook states. "Risks of a worse outcome predominate."
Although Musk may be a technocrat, he is standing up for the interests of the ordinary worker. If Musk’s perspective does not win out over the so-called scientific experts, global prosperity could be destroyed forever leading toward a new world order.
